We use the Protokinetics Zeno Walkway to measure walking in infants, children, and adults. The 1.2 x 4.9-meter pressure-sensitive carpet records the timing and placement of each step. We use the instrumented carpet to measure infants’ walking skill, to capture how walkers adapt to perturbations while walking, and to measure how infants spontaneously walk when navigating a cluttered, complex environment.
