Natural Behavior

Our lab is among the first to document the natural input for learning in development—what babies see, hear, and do in their everyday lives, and how the input changes as infants acquire new knowledge and skills over development. We observe infants’ spontaneous behavior in their homes and in laboratory playrooms to characterize developmental changes in their self-generated movements and interactions with people, objects, and places.
